Graffiti on the N. Side of Holland

I live on the Northside of Holland and am just literally "sick to my stomach" about all of the graffiti that has taken place around my neigborhood.  I live off from 132nd St. and it's all around me - between the area of James St., Butternut, Riley and the Beeline Rd..  Most of the vandalism took place within the past month.   I have not expressed my concern about this at a Parktownship Meeting, but I feel it is my duty as a good citizen to do so.  I think our community needs to put a stop to this disturbing behavior.  I wonder if our organization can't do something pro-active to discourage this from continuing.  I think this would be a great way for our organization to gain some recognition in the community and reassure the good citizens in our community that there are people who care enough about this issue to take an active stand on this.  I can't think of a better way for our Scouts to really grasp the understand of good citizenship, too.  

I'd love to get some advice and feedback on this, everyone.
