Given that this area has such a large Christian Reformed population I was wondering if there is a Christian Reformed / Reformed Church in America Religious Award that the kids could earn.

I wasn't able to locate a full listing of the awards out there, so I'm hoping someone has more information available on this topic.

Thanks in advance,

Matt

Re: RCA Religious Award

The full listing of the religious awards is found on the BSA's website at http://www.scouting.org/applications/religiousawards.aspx.

However, this list does not specifically mention Christian Reformed or Reformed Church in America.   In those cases, I believe the appropriate program would be the God & Country program administered by P.R.A.Y. Publishing since that is the one listed for "Protestant and Independent Christian Churches".

Re: RCA Religious Award

In regards to earning specific religious awards, such as Christian Reformed emblems, questions may also be directed to the Religious Relations Committee of the Gerald R. Ford Council. Tom Magnifico is the Chairman of this division and he may be reached at 616.285.1239 or via email: tmagnifico [at] aol [dot] com. The Grand Rapids Catholic Committee on Scouting is the only committee established at this time that handles religious awards for their Catholic Scouts, though I know that our council would like to have many more denominations get involved with this aspect, promoting Scouting as youth ministry and assisting Scouts with earning their religious emblems.
