Bronze Pelican Nominations-Deadline January 1, 2010

Each year the Grand Rapids Catholic Committee on Scouting recognizes those persons in our Diocese who have contributed to the spiritual development of our youth involved in the programs of the Boy Scouts of America. Many deserving individuals, however, are not recognized for their efforts simply because their work was not brought to our attention. We are now seeking nominations for all persons making contributions to the Catholic Committee’s programs and activities. We ask your support in identifying and nominating those adults and youth worthy of recognition.
The Catholic Committee has developed guidelines to assist you in determining the candidate’s contributions and in filling out the nomination forms. The nomination form lists the criteria that you can use to evaluate the nominee’s efforts in ministering to our youth. Please fill out a nomination form completely, including any supporting endorsement letters. (Please give us as much information as possible on your nominee, even if you do not have all of information requested on the nomination form.)
Completed packets can be mailed or delivered to me at 5455 Ranger Hills Dr SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546 and must be received by January 1, 2010 for consideration for the award. Please understand that the nomination for this award does not guarantee that it will be awarded. The selection committee reserves the right to determine which of the nominated candidates will receive the award. The nominator will be notified of when and where the award will be presented in the hope that the candidate will be in attendance to receive the award in person.
