Scout Salute
The Gerald R. Ford Council, for the last seven years, have led the community in the remembrance of the horrific acts of September 11, 2001. Hundreds of Scouts, leaders, volunteers, and people from our community have gathered each year to take part in a 9/11 Scout salute. From sunup to sundown our youth and leaders have taken time to stand at salute in respect for those who perished and those who gave so much love and help following the horrific acts of September 11.
In coordination with area police, fire, veterans, active military, EMS, and citizens who care enough to join us we will be again holding the Salute at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum in downtown Grand Rapids for a special day of remembrance.
