While looking over the Boy Scout Uniform Inspection Sheet this week for the first time, I noticed a badge on the right sleeve that I did not know about - the Musician Badge.  Apparently some troops have a band or drum and bugle corps and the boys that participate with the band or corps wear this patch to show their membership in that performing group.  As a big fan of Drum & Bugle Corps this intrigued me so I turned to an old friend for more information... Google.  It appears that some of the drum & bugle corps in DCI (Drum Corps International) began life as a Boy Scout troop.  At least one (Madison Scouts) is still registered as a Varsity Crew.  Very Cool!  I also found a few other Venturing crews in the BSA that have a drum corps.  Does anyone know of any troops or crews in the Gerald R. Ford Council that have a band (jazz, rock, symphonic, etc) or drum corps?
