CUB SCOUT ROUNDTABLE 1st PINEWOOD DERBY
Submitted by admin on December 1, 2008 - 11:45pm
RACE FOR ADULT SCOUTERS
Now is your chance! Come to the December Cub Scout Roundtable and race your very own car. Race for fastest car, or slowest car (car must cross the finish line). Any questions contact Darcy Logan at darcy [at] theloganfamily [dot] net or 355-6108
WHAT IS ROUNDTABLE you ask? Roundtable is for ALL adult scout leaders (and parents). Cub Scout leader roundtables are held monthly (2nd Thursday of each month) on a district basis. Den and pack leaders join for fun and fellowship while learning new tricks, stunts, games, crafts, ceremonies, songs, and skits related to the Cub Scout theme and Webelos activity badges for the following month. There are also opportunities for sharing ideas and activities with leaders from other packs.
Cub Scouting roundtables are a form of supplemental training for volunteers at the pack level. The objective of roundtables is to give pack leaders program ideas; information on policy, events, and training opportunities; and an opportunity to share experiences and enjoy fun and fellowship with other Cub Scouting leaders. Your roundtable commissioner and staff demonstrate elements of a model meeting that leaders may use as a pattern for their own den and pack meetings as well as committee meetings. As a result of your roundtable experience, you and your leaders will be inspired, motivated, and able to provide a stronger program for their Tiger Cubs, Cub Scouts, and Webelos Scouts.
Hope to see you December 11th!
Darcy Logan
Cub Scout Roundtable Commissioner
